I have a client with a big old top crack in Rancho Santa Margarita CA, which is between LA and San Diego.

Can anyone recommend a fixer, hopefully with not too long a drive?

Thanks...

Hi Ed,
I also am an Orange Countite. I live about 10 miles from Santa Margarita.

One of my favorite guitar shops around here is The Guitar Shoppe in Laguna Beach. It is about 15 miles from here. I haven't had them do any repair work myself but I do know they have an excellent reputation. They repair high end guitars from all over the country. Their customers include people like Chet Adkins, Tommy Emmanuel and Richie Sambora. One of the owners is Kirk Sand, a well respected builder of guitars.

Bill Asher would be my choice.

The repair zone in San Diego is where all the professional musicians I know go.
