Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

I was looking for some Spanish Cedar neck blanks last night and headed over to Terra Tonewoods since I knew they had some really nice Honduran neck blanks and that they also sold Spanish Cedar. I quickly noticed they are having a 50% off sale and so I purchased all the neck blanks and a few of their best Higuerilla back/side sets. This is probably one of the very best sales I have ever seen in the past 10 years as a builder. They still have some incredible spalted Manchinga, Spanish Cedar, and Higuerilla back/side sets -- the prices are just phenomenal and I just spent a lot of money :)

I thought some of you might be interested in the sale.

Happy Holidays!!!

Not anymore. All the good stuff's gone. I would want neck blanks.
That's about a 2.5 hour drive for me across the state, so it'd be fun.

And also, are 10+ units 30% off the normal $20 price?

No. The $20 price is the sale price. Normal price is $39.50.
The QTY price box reflects extra % discount already.

Yes all will be first grade.

2nd grade would be a completely different item that is not offered online.

Kewl, where do you get vertical grain first grade spanish cedar for that cheap from? I've seen some that cheap at woodcraft and the local lumberyard but it's been extremely random.

Ouch...I get 5/4, 8/4, and 12/4 spanish cedar for something like $6.00/bf...any option to buy the stuff in the rough and mill it up?

Here's the scoop on $6bf Spanish Cedar..... None of it will pass the Lacey requirements if the source and paperwork is ever looked at. All commercial lumber sources are tainted (mixed) with illegally harvested wood. And FYI.. paperwork is being watched. But that is another long story.

We no longer import rough lumber, all our neck blanks are selected in Peru and all mill loss and waste is left there.

The cost of due diligence is high and in reality when you buy a blank from us you are only paying about $10 more than if you bought at $6bf and assume the mill/grading loss yourself.

Think legal vs cost.
Q: Is it worth saving $10 on a neck to use wood that comes from doubtful sources or is it better to buy from a tonewood dealer who does due diligence?
