I gave mine a test drive last night... it's a great little plane!

Way to go, Stephen. Since our visit a few weeks ago, I can now picture your shop every time I use mu mini-plane.

I've been eyeballing those planes for a while now. I like my curved chisel for braces but all it takes is one dumb slip up and... gaah

The mini planes seem like a safe alternative and probably just as fun to use.

Good Morning All!

I have given some thought to my planes and I have come up with a few changes that I believe will be very good. I have changed my planes to include maple for the sides of the plane as well as the body. This allows me better control of the thickness of the sides. Thicker sides give the planes more heft and better secures the cross pin. Maple sides also mean that I buy all of my material from my local lumber shop and it is a domestic product. (I hope!) Therefore I am opening up my business for international shipping again.

I have shipped international in the past and I know that depending on the destination country the taxes/fees/duties have at least in one instance equaled the purchase price! Generally, I have found a 20-25% import fee rate. Shipping international will have various rates according to destination and I will have to work out a way to give shipping quotes on my website.

Here are some photos of the new models. These feel really nice!
