Does anyone know of a source for these other than the vintage antique steel tuners available at StewMac? I'm looking for something a bit nicer & was not able to turn up anything with Google. idunno

You can check with All-Parts to see if the tuners used by National on their 12 strings might be available.

Thanks, Todd. Yes, they have a nice set of nickel Gotohs.

Maybe not? Looking carefully at the photo it's not at all clear if they are all on one plate. If not, do you think they would all abut & look like a single strip?

A little steep ($$$) for shiny nickel. What's wrong with the Stew-Mac tuners for 53 bucks?

If I'm not mistaken, Rubner makes 6 on a plate 12 string tuning machines for steel string guitars. They'll make them if you want them, too, as they will make one off sets for specialty instruments, but I believe they have them in their line. Maybe Colin will chime in here, as he uses their steel string machines.

There was a company in Italy that was selling fancy 6 on a plate for a grand...can't remember the name. Engraved and everythin'.

The SEP701's are not on a plate but are are manufactured to nest together. I sell this tuner with a black button for $72. I have been told it has been discontinued (I need to see what replaces it) so supply is limited.

Ooh wee, those are pretty, Hans.
The plates look smooth--nice modern appearance.
I'm guessing that Alessi would also engrave 'em for a few more Euros?

Looks like, Steve. I emailed them once, but got no reply. Somewhere I read they were $1K though...
If you go to the website, you can see how "handmade" they are.

Too rich for my blood. I see nothing wrong with the Stew-Macs, even on a fancy instrument. Fraulini uses them...

Pretty sure these are the Henkes & Blazer-sourced tuners. Finally...got tired of waiting for StewMac to get a clue and do a decent 6-on-plate set.

I sprang for these. Although quite plain, they are very nice. Yes, they are the Henkes & Blazer tuners.
