I'll see you there Brad. I'm anxious to make the acquaintance of many of the forum members and to put faces with all of the input and the great exchange of information we see here on the screen.

Regards,

Peter

What's the date? Maybe it's about time for me to make a trip back to my old stomping grounds.

So I should make sure I wear my OSU jersey, right?

I am planning on being there.

We are playing/beating Wisconsin that day so yes Brock an OSU shirt would not get you any grief........ :D

The venue, the Black Elks Lodge, from what I hear is a fantastic place for this event. We will have it to ourselves and there is good food, a bar, and facilities for performances. It's a hold over from the 60's in Ann Arbor with orange shag carpet and reminiscent of a time when some of the great music came from college campuses.

I would recommend that anyone staying over book a hotel early if not right away. Hotels fill up for miles around here on game days. If you need a hotel recommendation I would be happy to help.

Also there will be prizes, some of them quite nice and exactly the kind of things that we all would greatly appreciate.

There is still an open call for presentations. If anyone would like to speak and or demonstrate something please let David or I know? The gathering is loosely structured right now to provide professional presentations, time for getting to know each other and of course checking out all of the incredible instruments that will be there, and then performances by some superb musicians including Mark Swanson, James WB, and some local A2 talent. We will get to hear many of the guitars present during the performances.

And, since I have taken an oath of silence in the cone of silence what I can say is there is a strong possibility that some of the very notable people in our industry will attend. People we all would like to meet I am sure.

Not to be a nag but it's very important that anyone wishing to attend RSVP to David or I and David is on vacation right now so send your RSVP's to me please. We do have restrictions as to how many can attend based on the fire Marshall ratings for the Lodge. If we do fill up, and we may, we will create a waiting list and notify people if there is room when and if someone cancels. But right now we still have available capacity.

I am planning to be there. Can't wait to put faces to the names here! (and yes - I'm bringing my OSB guitar. Perhaps we can do a blind listening test to see if anyone can identify it based on sound!)

Thanks Kirt - we had the wrong email addy for you so I just sent you another invitation.

JJ bro let me know if you did not receive an invitation. I am working off David's notes here and it looks like he sent you one already. If not let me know and it's on the way.

I got an invitation from David and RSVP'd. I answered the call in the MGL section. Now I'm answering the call in this section. If anyone else starts another thread, I'll confirm my attendance there as well. And while there is only one JJ, there may be several JJ name tags prepared as a result of all of the well-intentioned threads.

Perhaps we have too many chefs in the kitchen! pizza laughing6-hehe [uncle]

I would recommend having one official thread (probably best if it were in the MGL section) so that everyone knows where to get the latest and greatest.

Well the folks that started these additional threads were well intentioned I am sure but I have no clue if they can cook as well as I do or not...... :D

Anyway David is on vacation and asked me to field questions, get RSVPs, secure prizes......... [:Y:] :D so that is what I am doing.

Since this thread is the most current let's use this one going forward. Fair enough?

When I was a kid, last year......, and knew what my sister was getting for Christmas I used to torment her by saying "I know something that you don't know...." :D This at times led to me getting beat up........ gaah

We will have prizes at the gathering generously provided by Zootman aka: Uncle Bob of http://www.rctonewoods.com and John Watkins aka: John Watkins of http://www.cncguitarparts.com and Joe White of Sunset Finishing (Joe do you have a Web site link for me?) and I know what these prizes are...... pfft :D

So.... I know something that you guys don't....... :D
