I`m gonna bite the bullet and get a Fuji Spray system.I`ll be spraying Nitro and Cat Urethane for now.Maybe someday Polyester.
So a couple of questions. Is the Fuji 3 enough or do I need the 4.Also is the # 4 cap and needle gonna work out or do I need to go with the finer # 3.You can tell I know nothing about HVLP.I`ve been using a De-Walt compressor and the Stew Mac gun.

Hi James,
I have a 12-13 year old Fuji system and it works great. I don't know what todays equivalent system is however. It puts out 100 cfm if I recall and I spray with a #3 tip/cap. I think a 4 would also work fine, but a three definitely works. I'm spraying un-thinned McFaddens lacquer for build coats and thinned for the finish coat.

Don't forget, the Mini-Mite 3 & 4 are identical to the Q3 and Q4 (sans the noise reduction and sans the cost)

I've had a Q3 for about 10 years and you couldn't get me to part with it. I absolutely love how quiet it is, especially compared to a compressor setup. I must say I didn't like the fact that the original gun was a bleeder type. But Fuji came out with a non-bleeder a couple years ago and, since upgrading, it's a joy to use. I'd have to double check but I'm pretty sure I've been using the #4, spraying McFaddens.
