31 killed by a gunman at Virginia Tech.

Such a terrible thing.

My thoughts are with vicims' families. We are fortunate indeed, whose loved ones are safe today.

I concur!

Senseless, thoughts are with those who are most impacted. The rest of us feel the impacts of these types of events as well.

This morning, I was praying out loud over my son's school as I dropped him off. I simply prayed for peace in the lives of the students.

When I picked him up this afternoon, I shared the news of these deaths occuring at Virginia Tech. What a sad day for that school, for all who died, for families of the dead and for staff who must deal with these issues.

I am reminded of the Amish School shootings that left the precious young girls lying dead. The Amish community showed us what is truly necessary here, forgiveness. Forgiveness in large doses, that's my prayer now for families of Virginia Tech Shooting victims.

Thanks for the post. The worst thing we can do is remain silent about the horror of this evil deed. Love conquers Hate, always has, always will.

Yes, this is truly sad.

Such a senseless act and a complete tragedy for all those so terribly affected. It is also a sad inditement on our western society that these kind of events are happening with increasing regularity all over the world striking fear into the hearts of peace loving people everywhere.

I was never really scared of much before I had children, now because of precisely this kind of unpredictable and unprovoked madness, fear has crept into my live and grows a little when ever I think of the helplessness faced by the parents of the victims of these kind of crimes.

Peace and comfort to all those poor families and heart felt hope that an answer can be found to stop this kind of violence.
