Very neat work on the braces!

Curious though, why the hole in the brace?
Could it be access to the truss rod nut?

Thanks for the kind words, all. This time (#3, with #2 still in the wings), I've matched the resonant pitch of the top and back per Alan Carruth's generous posts here and elsewhere. If all goes well, the top will drop a half-step or so with the bridge on and I'll get smooth response with the back adding to the top's output. Here's hoping!

Parabolic describes (sometimes approximately) the shape of the braces, in their profile along their length and also in cross-section.

This search of the archives should give you some background.
