Just got a PM from John. He radiused the fretboard compound radius, slotted, and bound in bloodwood.

Dennis Leahy purchased the board from Bob Cefalu.

Thanks fellows, the project is coming together!

The OLF #2 Guitar Project is again underway and slated for completion soon. Thanks for all the wonderful response, emails and PM's, and of course to everyone involved so far in producing this instrument in cooperation with fellow OLFers for the worthy recipient.

I can think of a couple of needs that will face the project soon. We really need to line someone up to do a professional finishing job. The work on the guitar to date is very very good so it is deserving of a fine finish as well.

The guitar is now enroute to John Watkins for a neck build. It is travelling in the dred size Access Stage 5 Case, which is up for sale if someone wants it. We'll have to check the wear and tear from several shipments. So maybe some pics would be in order. We can use that cash for shipping or simply return that to George Armstrong. George was very flexible about that when he lent his support to the effort.

Once the neck is fitted, it's off to Hank Mauel for fretting. By this time, maybe we'll have a finisher lined up. Again, thanks to all who have put a little cash and sweat of the brow in on this project. While we don't know the outcome, we can be optimistic and say, "This is one of the coolest guitars on the planet and I'm glad to have been involved in it's production."

Best Regards, Bruce
