I've waited to do combined shipping with Darren several times over the years, and never had any problem. He said that he is going out of business, and wrapping up things by the end of the year. Still, he should have held on to your items for you.

Bummer. I've had something like that happen right here on the OLF (not with Darren) and was very frustrated by the experience. Good luck finding the sets you wanted, but, well ... it's a long shot.

So it was you who outbid me on that auction. I've had a number of very good transactions with him over the past few years. That's a real bummer that he sold them out from under you. Those looked like nice sets. Your winning bid was a real steal for those considering that he said in the listing that the "retail" price on those from Colonial was $400 each. Maybe he got a better offer after the fact?

Yeah, me too...to say I was frustrated would be way too PC...first one to respond to the Swapalooza post, yet "he" started acting real squirrlly about it very quickly...probably sold it to a bud via PM. Needless to say that is one person I'll never deal with in any form or fashion again!

You might take it up with eBay. If he didn't file a non paying bidder case they might look askance at him selling the goods from a closed auction. If he's going out of business he might not care what ebay thinks.

Haven't purchased anything from Darren recently, but he has always been outstanding and generous with me in our dealings.
