Hello All,
Came across the site and liked what i saw.
My name is Lou Moritz and I have a small one man operation where I build, repair and customize mainly solid body guitars but I do dabble in acoustics from time to time.
I hope to gain some more knowledge in all aspects of building and repairing along with sharing some of my tips and tricks.
I post mainly over in the Luthier Sections at My Les Paul and Everything SG Forums and I also have my personal page and St. Moritz Guitars page over at Facebook.
My biggest accomplishment was to have my "Guitar Hero" ask me to build him a guitar. Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath uses and records with a Moritz SG
The first 2 pictures are of Tony using the guitar on tour, the 3rd is of my wife, me and Tony the last time Sabbath was playing here in New Jersey, The 4th picture is the SG I built for him, and last one is Tony holding a replica of his 65 SG Special aka The Monkey that i made for myself

WOW! what a pleasure! I just saw Him with sabbath last week in Argentina.. Don´t remember him with that guitar though: He has many SG´s

Welcome!!!!

Iommi is one of my, if not my, favorite electric guitar players ever ever ever. Seeing Sabbath's last tour come through Virginia a few months back brought both tears of joy and sorrow. I saw and commented on the work you did on the SG in the repair part of this forum and could see that you had something special going on there. I can't imagine the trill it must be to build a living legend like that a guitar. Wow, dang, I gotta go listen to some Sabbath now
