Here is the latest Luthier Tips du Jour video - In this video I talk about how to use the articulated clamp from LMI.
This video as well as all my other videos are available via my website, http://www.obrienguitars.com/videos , LMI's website or on youtube.

I have a couple of these and they work well enough. Use them for long reaches and when you can't use a wire clamp. My only complaint is the lack of clamping force at full extention. I've found it has enough force to clamp a cleat but not enough to hold a crack in alignment to dry after cleaning. Sometimes there isn't room in the sound hole to add another supplemental clamp as Robbie demonstrates in the video.Image

I'd like to add that sometimes when situation calls for its simply faster to use a brace jack and clamp from the exterior of the body.
