Some things we make come with the voice you expect right out of the gate, some things take some time to develop their voice. My newest creation is the perfect example of this. Currently sings/screams with a focus in the trebels... great sustain too. But since my first listen, I have been researching how to get a fuller sound. I have discovered a process that should help round out the tonal spectrum and give a bit fuller low end- though it is a slow process- puberty!

Nice one Chris, my Regards to your better half.
After all, you can only make guitars.
She can make potential guitar players......

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Thanks for the kind words everybody. He is doing very well and fitting right in with the family. His big brother is adapting to the new change like a trooper, too!

Oh yeah! The bottom end is producing. But the end product is mushy. With time, and some "playing in", I expect it to become much more defined. laughing6-hehe

That is true but, as you know, it will occasionally revert back to mushy for small stints; try to let Marian handle those times if you can get by with it :)
