Just a quick heads up.....I was ordering some inserts at McFeely's and noticed that there were quite a few items that they have discontinued and are selling at 1/2 price. Some of the items I saw:

Pack of 5 stainless steel inserts for $5.10

Proxxon Professional rotary tool for $67.73

Work Sharp 2000 for $49.95. I haven't tried the Work Sharp 2000, but have the 3000 on my bench for a quick touch up on my chisels.

Several different Freud and CMT router bits

I have the 3000 and just noticed the wheel speed on the 2000 is 3x faster. 580 vs 17xx. Seems like that would make it a different beast. I have a slow speed grinder (17xx) and it's still fast enough to burn.

Thanks for the heads up, Alan. I've had my eye on a Proxxon rotary tool for a while, and that price was too good to pass up! [:Y:]
