When I braced the top I accidentally put the sound bars on the wrong side. Coming off the right x brace instead of the left one if your looking from the back of the top. Do I have to chisel and sand them off and make it right?

You probably won't notice the difference in sound or otherwise. If the guitar were a commission, it would need to be made right. If it's for yourself, I'd leave it.

I would finger plane, chisel and use small scrapers.

Easy fix. Warm up the braces. Cleanup, remount. If they are scalloped, make new ones. But that's just me.

If it won't affect the sound at all I'll probably just leave it

I wouldn't worry about it affecting the sound.

I am of the school of thought that tone bars are primarily cross grain reinforcements. Perhaps space aliens could hear a difference in orientation? I'd move on and not risk damage -- Its also my belief one can't repair quality into a project.

My first top off the Antes plan was backwards too and I just don't think it matters. However, if the top is still off I would go ahead and change it simply because it is so easy to fix.

This is great opportunity for the marketing department... Reverse toned bracing system.

You could string it up as a lefty and claim that it is custom made.
But seriously - it won't make any difference to sound. When guitars get converted from right handed to left they still sound the same. There are many other more important variables than orientation of the minor braces.
