Hey all.
I just made a discovery.
Ive built about 6 or 7 Weiss style lap steels,
and made them from the S.M. plans.
I made patterns from the plans.
The patterns and plans got wet,
so I threw them away.
S.M. doesn't sell them anymore, and I thought "oh heck".
Then I remembered I recently bought a 88 year old real Weiss.
Duh duh duh duh , make a tracing of that! duh duh duh
Anyway, short story made long,
I placed the new pattern on one of my old builds,
and where the upper bout transitions to the straight part of the neck,
the real Weiss is 1 1/2" south of where the plans showed.
I don't really care,
just sayin'.....
