I've made a few of these now and I'm wondering what I would call it? It's kind of a Dread but with a thinner waist. And yea, I desperately need to figure out how to take better photos.
Body Length: 20"
Upper Bout Width: 11-5/8"
Lower Bout Width: 15-1/2"
Waist: 10"

Thanks

Bloated OM....

Kidding of course.

See to me it looks like an OM but bigger so.......

You can call it a Grand Concert, but it's bigger than that too......

You could call it some already used name or you could get more creative. Look around at builders websites. Some people have some very creative names for their models. You could name it after your first born, or future first born.

My first impulsive thoughts were of a Sovereign-esque upper bout to waist melding in to a more traditional classical form of lower bout. So, classical Sovereign, or "CS".

Call it a CS-7. Why not? Good as any other model designation.

Unless of course "CS" is already taken by someone else. The 7, I just like prime numbers.

You're in Taos. Lots of interesting flaura, fauna, place names and such around there. A convention of that type may be worth pondering.

That's a handsome guitar.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

I was wondering if it could be called something like an OM or Grand Auditorium but I guess it's bigger than that. Guess I'll have to just get imaginative.
