I'm in the process of moving country so it's time to clear out the shop. I've a few things up on ebay.co.uk

Most are too heavy to ship abroad so UK readers here might want to take a look. There is a thickness sander and a small tablesaw set up for fret slotting, in the next few days I hope to post a few more bits and pieces including timber.

My ebay name is nk2279.

Hi Nigel
Where are you moving to? Somewhere sunnier than Newcastle (that could be just about anywhere)? It must be quite a bit task to relocate the business, even a small shop.
I will keep an eye out on ebay for your cast-offs, but shipping to Australia won't be practical for any big stuff.
cheers
Mark

Nigel, all the best, moving to Japan by any chance?
BTW, size 6.5 feet?

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
