A huge Thanks to OLF'er MIKE COLLINS for donating this set of OLD Cocobolo for auction.
Its been a while since we have had auctions here but we are going to start again.

Up first is a very rare set of Cocobolo. Large enough for a dreadnought guitar. VERY THICK Sides.

In Mikes words
"This set is old!
Tight grain for Coco.
More deep colors!
Boring for those that want "Blingwood
It weights a lot."

I weighted the set at 6 lbs 4 oz.

I asked MIKE what a good starting bid would be and he said
"$400 would be a good place start. It's not available like this anymore.
One of a kind!!"

I concur. Of all the sets of Coco I have had over the years, never have I had a set so dark, straight grained, purple and dense. And no, its not Indian.

We will run the auction for 4 days. It will end SUNDAY AUG 23th at 9:00 PM EST VIA MY PC.
The LAST BID ENTERED IN THIS THREAD BEFORE SUNDAY AUG 23th at 9:00 PM EST WILL BE THE WINNING BID providing its at least Mikes suggest starting bid of 400.00.

CUS shipping included.

Without further ado, here is the wood. Mmmmmmm

Yeah if it doesn't sell it will go in the OLF tonewood archives to come out again at a later date.

Mike I'm out right now but I'll get that stuff as soon as I'm home.
It's big and heavy. Larger than a dreadnought.
