Ok, I like the sound of instruments. I am not particularly limited to guitars, and lack the tools to build the standard pregnant lady shape. Is there some special corner for those of us making our own designs of something acoustic with a head, neck, and hollow body supporting some array of strings?

I ask because everything seems specifically for traditional instruments and I am somewhat non-traditional. I love "what if" when it comes to the arts.

Don't worry about being a non-traditionalist - I am too! There's no special section, just ask questions here. Most people around here aren't too quick to judge :) I'll be looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Specific questions for specific instruments will generate lots of good answers, around here, Kenneth!

General questions for non-specified instruments is just thrashing around in the dark.

Ditto Alex

And I posted elsewhere:

I believe you could get more constructive input (on all three of your posts) if at least a sketch of the now imaginary instrument was provided. As it is now, it seems any comments by the "acoustic guitar experts" at this forum as you mentioned --- literally would not know what they were talking about. $.02
