Not my favorite thing to do but this jig has made it easier. Not original, saw it somewhere, maybe here, but it works.

I have a pin router template to cut my F holes and used it with a smaller bit to make the bending jig. I've used it on three guitars now and it is definitely helpful. I have used either plain ivoroid or a black/ivoroid laminate about .060. Heated the binding with a hair dryer and let it cool in the jig.

Still a challenging process, I'd be interested in techniques others have used to make this easier.
