Does anyone else have problems in sometimes writing a post for a thread and then it just does not register? I had this happen twice in the last couple of days.

No trouble here. using Chrome

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

I have had issues with Internet explorer. I now use Chrome when I post and no problems.

It can happen. For insurance before you hit submit, highlight & copy your post,( so if it vanishes you can just re-paste it).
