I have been using laminate trimmer for inlays or rosettes, it's kinda a little heavy for the job and doesn't offer the best visibility. I have a foredom type tool (it is not a foredom, but something like it) but no router base for it.

Has anyone built a router base for their own rotary tool out of plexiglas?

You can mount the Foredom hand piece that Stewmac sells which is threaded to use in their Dremel base.

The Stewmac customized handpiece costs 70+ dollars... which is a little steep considering it's just a handpiece. Not even sure it will work with my foredom type unit... I know foredom is quality and all, but still...

I think I'll try making them myself.

Bishop Cochran makes a base for the Foredom tool

http://www.bishopcochran.com/foredom.htm

Listed at $169, which isn't too bad for a small volume percision toolbase. I don't know if
shipping would be a big deal for you, however.
