What are you guys using for anti-fatigue shop mats? I bought a handful of cheap chef's mats at Lowe's but I'm tired of kicking them around all over the shop to get them where they are needed. So I'm looking for some real shop mats to cover all of my tool and work stations.

I've got 2'x2' interlocking grey fatigue mats that I got Costco covering most of the floor in my shop. They work well, but sawdust gets through the joints. They sell 4'x8' rolls of the same material for a good price, so I will probably replace most of what I have. After a couple of years, they get a little soft in the high traffic areas and need replacing.

Woodcraft has some mats that are about 3' x 6' that come up for sale several times a year. I have several in my shop. I had a few more but my dog thought they were wonderful chew toys.

I use a double layer of the stuff that looks like diamond plate and dovetails together. Works ok...

Woodcraft and for my concrete garage floor large 4by 8 grey insulation matting to keepout winter cold.

Thanks guys. Forgot, I have one of the 2'X6'ish mats from Woodcraft and I am not too happy with it. Not thick enough for good support. If you have names or links to where you get your mats that would be great.

The mats that I bought at Costco aren't listed on their web site, so it might be hit or miss to find them at all of their stores.

I have the same ones, and love 'em.

I think they are seasonal. When I bought mine, I was told they were the last ones for the season. I needed more than they had in stock, so they got a few more packages from another store just to be sure I had a bit more onhand. Now my son wants to use some of my stash to make archery targets.

don't forget comfy shoes....i usually have Birkenstocks or Croc knockoffs on....the Crocs are fantastic, but the holes in them allow a lot of dust in...don't worry, i don't leave the house with them on

I trust you don't wear white sock with the Birkenstocks.

I guess it could depend on your mood. I personally go for the more cheery side out.

Color side out would turn me into a schizophrenic!

+1 on that but my shop doesn't exactly make any style statements

Nice Filippo..where did you get that?

Have had these mats from Lee Valley http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=32099&cat=1,43456,43465 for a couple of years now. They're light to move if need be and are easy to vacuum to keep the shop clean. To date I've never tripped on or over them. Well worth the price.

That looks a lot like the mats I got from Woodcraft. Don't know if they're in the catalog, they just had a stack for sale in the store.

Carpet, oriental, Chinese, tacked to the floor.
Beats breathing in the toxic fumes gassing off from the plastic anti-fatigue shop mats, or the standard grey mat that Flipos into, much more comfortable and well kinda classy.



Ya is old and kinda worn, just like me and me tools, but still classy.
