This has been over a year in the shop, work sure gets in the way of spare time.
This was as far as I could get this weekend, so far pretty excited.

How did you tint & shade the top?

Did you get the 3-way switch installed ok? I had some issues with mine because I didn't buy the Gibson one which included the longer nut - see here viewtopic.php?f=10123&t=38139&hilit=switchcraft

Thanks all, I just wish I knew how to play it.

Alex; The wood came from some scrap leftovers from some furniture I built for a client.
Originally from Andy's woodbarn in Abbotsford. I bought about 12'of a 2' wide tree cut into 2" slabs. I still have lots of bits.

RobbieMcD; If I string it up, someone may try and make me play it.

Klooker; It was dyed with aniline powders from Lee Valley. I mixed up 3 batches of dye, maybe 1/3,2/3 and full strength. Wiped the complete top with the weakest, then about halfway in with the middle and just the outer inch or so with the full. Rubbed each application with steel wool at the overlaps to prevent any defined lines. It came out alittle more subtle than I had hoped but still pretty happy.
I have not yet fit the selector switch but I see what you mean.
