Quick question wrt Z-poxy. Does anyone know the shelf life of both unopened and opened Z-poxy? I am using this for pore fill, not structural bonding. I have a lot of Z-poxy leftover form my first 2 guitars, been opened about 1 year, but stored in my workshop and sealed tight. I also have a box of unopened that I bought recently, so I can throw out the older one, and use the new. However, I would prefer not to wage it if it is still good.

Thanks!

Glenn

Mix up equal parts without using any kind of thinner...and drop a dollop on a piece of cardboard.

If the next day, after having it in your house (assuming 65+ degrees) overnight, the surface is smooth to the touch and you can't dent it with your fingernail...it's fine.

Most epoxy components have a very long shelf life...but the time is irrelevant if the test above produces the described result.

I agree with Stuart. The hardener will darker over time but that doesn't effect the final outcome.
