Hello,

I know this subject has been hammered to death... and I did do a search but did not find anything conclusive.

I sent the company in the below link a question to ask about the 4 Stage Fuji Turbine Systems as I was thinking of purchasing one. He responded saying they were no good for guitar builders because they do not spray fine enough. He gave me this link and said it's the only thing he would use.

Does anyone use this particular gun?... or can you comment on why it would or would not be as good as the Fuji Turbine system?

Thanks a bunch....

Richard

The Asturo gun looks almost identical to the Walcom EGO HVLP gun I use and which I like a lot. I have no experience with the Fuji Turbine system.

The Fuji works fine & it pretty much eliminates the problems with moisture in the lines that you'll get with a compressor.

Call Phelps finishing - he actually answers the phone.

I tried corresponding with spray gun world a while ago & got tired of waiting days for responses.

edit:
Just realized that he's gone on vacation until Monday August 3 but he says that he's responding to emails. I bought my turbine from him & he also stocks replacement parts.

Richard

News to me as a satisfied user of a Fuji XPC....

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Thanks for the responses! Based on what I've read on the forum I suspected that the Fuji systems worked fine for this application.

Cheers,
