I am using EM6000. I have been using soap and warm water to clean my Fuji gun. I will follow that up with denatured alcohol. This generally works pretty well, but I still have finish residue after cleaning and a brush just doesn't seem to get it. Should I use acetone or something else to clean my gun?
Thanks,
Steve

Acetone will make waterbase ball up &
clog your gun.
I have no idea why!
Spray allot of water& denatured .
Then let it sit in the cup & gun.
Do NOT spray it all out.

Mike

I use distilled water and no soap. I've done this for EM6000 and Polywhey. No problems so far in about 4 years.

Thanks Guys,
I got the Fuji system (Q3) and gun from a friend. It had been used for other (guitar) finishes before I got it (probably nitro). I have finished one guitar with it and had good success. I am currently about half way through finishing two more guitars. It has worked fine, but there appears to be some old finish on the outside (but hopefully not inside) the gun. It's hard to get off parts of the gun. I guess I'm doing a good enough job of cleaning it... I guess I'll leave off the soap...

I spray EnduroVar and EM2000 with my Fuji, and use warm water and a soft bristle tooth brush to clean up.
