Ugh. It appears Martin is no longer making the Geib Style Case for the J40. I hope I am wrong. Maybe John Hall will see this. Elderly sold it for $245. I need two. Aside from that, what are my comparable options (Ameritage is great, but outside my price range).

And I do not want those themoplastic things.

Mike

Mike,

You may want to contact Ameritage again. I had them custom make up a couple of sample cases, one for a deep body 000 and also a 13 fret 00 shape. Was able to choose exterior and interior materials and the price was less (but close) than Elderlys price on the Geibs. You would need to provide them will all dimensions and a tracing of your guitar and then wait a couple of months for the case to be made in Costa Rica. After you have your sample case dialed in you're set for J40 cases in the future.

Seriously? I mean that's great and all. But I went to their site and their "silver" cases start at ~$400. Gold at $500. Elderly's Geib was $245. What am I missing?

bliss

What in the world? I had NO idea! Just got off the phone with them. The prices are STUNNING. I will be an Ameritage customer for sure! Even going to get my harp guitars cases.

Thanks for that info guys!

Mike (wish I could get pickups at a discount)

I wonder why these OEM cases are not listed on their website?

I guess what I am saying is that the fact that they sell them at all is not evident (OEM). The lady I spoke with told me that it was word-of-mouth only. In any event, I strongly encourage anyone looking for cases to call Nancy and get the Luthier Package explaining it all. She will email it to you.

I'm liking the logo feature as well!

I'm going to look into it. I've never considered them before because their prices are a little high for me. But seems like they have a hidden low price market :)
