Hi everyone,
I recently finished the neck and box on a nylon crossover and I am struggling as to where to place the bridge. I based the construction on a 1 7/8" , 25.4 scale neck, 14 fret, Martin 000 body. The soundboard is latticed braced and the rest is pretty similar to the standard Martin body.
I generally use a Stew-mac saddlematic, however, the classical bridge I am using has a straight saddle slot not a compensated one.

Should I remove the pins totally and measure without them or is there a distance they should be set at for nylon strings??

Any idea's would be great! Thanks

I believe the stew Mac fret calculator will be your friend here.
If I'm not mistaken, it will give you actual string length for nylon strings...
