I just strung these two up the other. Both are Cherry BS&N with a Lutz top. I am real happy with both of them. Pals, Vic.

any comments o the sound of cherry, I have been wanting to try it. my suspicion has been that it would be mellower than maple and brighter than mahogany. Is that true?

That's a lovely pair of instruments. Well done! I have a set of cherry waiting in the wings. Your work has me more excited about trying my hand at building with it than ever.

Thanks for sharing,

They both look great, Vic! Cherry is one of my favorite woods.

Those look incredible! I especially love the non-traditional violin. That's a beautiful instrument.

VERY VERY nice Vic. Love the entire 'composition' of tone woods - nice job.

The fiddle and guitar both have cherry and curly maple laminated necks. This is the second guitar with cherry bs&n. The other has a redwood top. I was pleasantly surprised with the volume and tone of both of them.
