Here are some pics of the guitar i just finished a few days ago. This is the one I was working on when I had my little mishap so it is kind of a rehab guitar. It's my first Dread also. Sitka/EIR, Mahogany neck. Tobacco burst finish, maple bindings.

That looks great, and I know it feels special to see it done with the history. Congrats on such a good outcome!

Nice one Brian, good to see you're truly back in action. [:Y:]

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Very nice! [clap] Really like to see pictures of everyone's builds, always gives me ideas and something to shoot for. Is the headstock logo new? I like it.

Hi Mr. Brian,
Great looking guitar!
The fretboard really looks nice!
I dig your logo - looks vintage-deco.
Take care,
Dan
