Anyone have any tips for aging new Ivoroid to match older binding? I'm re-binding one side of the neck of a 30's tenor banjo.

I spray tinted lacquer on it. You can also use orange shellac.

Have you tried leaving it in the sun? A UV bulb will do the job quicker if you need a lot of 'age'.

Not completely sure the aging mechanism on that stuff, but UV works on most things.
