Great video!

As you know, Dave - Ralph was "instrumental" in steering me towards the repair side of luthiery many decades ago. He was truly an amazing builder, and deserved more attention than he received when he was alive. Glad this video will spread the word about his legacy.

By the way, Ralph had a great sense of humor - he was known as "Crazy Ralph" in the tool and die shop at Cessna Aircraft. He was a great teacher, too - and occasionally dropped in at my shop with a word of encouragement.

For those who don't know, Eric Cale is a local player of some note as well as a respected historian. I am glad he has lent his expertise to showcasing Ralph's incredible guitars.

I hope to meet Ralph's son and grandson soon, and share a few stories with them about Ralph. That will be a fun time!

Chris, I'll try to make arrangements for us to go to their shop, It's in Haysville. Maybe when it cools of some next fall!

Wud I played the Joe Maphis 18 and it's amazing how easy it was to play.

That is cool. I've never heard of those guitars before. That cut out is interesting and did you see that bracing pattern? Interesting.

Dave, thanks for posting the video.
Very interesting stuff and first time I've heard of all of this right here in Kansas.
