I was at a show the other night and one of the performers was playing a Bourgeois 12-fretter that appeared to be one of his slope shoulder dreadnaughts. The guitar sounded fantastic and I decided right there that I'd like to build one. Unfortunately, after looking around a bit, I have only seen 14-fret plans for sale. Anyone have a lead on where I might find 12-fret plans?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks for the replies. I'll check with John about that, Todd. I was thinking I might be able to adapt the plans Michael Collins drafted. However, that idea does give me some pause as I'm not experienced enough to know precisely what to shift or how much. I've uncovered a couple of old threads here and on other sites with information on this type of modification, but any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,

I have drawn patterns from several original 12-fret dreads, including a 1933 D-28 shaded top and a 1934 D-18H, both formerly owned by Norman Blake.
I can send you a copy.
