I was wondering if anyone has a good solution to cleaning out CA in a fret slot? Is there something that softens the CA? I bound a finger board today with CA and didn't pay attention to the CA flooding portions of my fret slots. [headinwall] It doesn't seem to be my week! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

fingernail polish remover works or just scrape it out with an exacto blade

I've tried an exacto blade but it's pretty bound in the slot. Thanks for the fingernail polish tip, isn't that just acetone?

I agree with using the hot knife ... and cleaning it up with a dremel ... the little dovetail bits work well as the cutter is only at the very end and the narrow part of the shaft glides along the top of your fret slot as a guide.

I use a dental pick and a propane torch. Heat it until it glows then run it through the slot. Cuts it right out.
