I've been working on this one for about a year....we now have 2 little luthiers padding/crawling around the house so shop time has been short..

Specs:
cocobolo back & sides
sitka top
ziricote fingerboard/bridge
finish: about 20 coats of target coatings em6000 over a few coats of em1000 sealer
inlays: dyed bone (the bird is the "Doctor Bird", the national bird of jamaica) & a $50 jamaican coin set into the headstock

Looks to me like a first rate job, Trevor. Nice medallion inlay on the headstock and great fingerboard inlay, too. Also, I must say that I appreciate the fact you took it down to the dock to photograph it. I like some of those sailboats in the background, too...and even the tenders in the near mid ground.

Is the bridge foot slightly angled to give you just the compensation you wanted? Or is that a trick of the camera lens? Not being critical here at all....just curious.

Nice job!

Patrick

Thanks guys...!

Patrick - you have a calibrated eye..! It is off by a bit but I think it looks exaggerated in this photo for some reason. The difference from treble to bass (measured along the edges of the fingerboard) is about 1/16".

This is my first cocobolo build...cocobolo #2 is not far behind...

Very nice. Did you put some finish on the fretboard?

This is thing is brilliant, its a perfectly themed guitar without being too themey. Its definitely in my top 10 list of favorite guitars I have seen on here so far. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.

Barry - There is no finish on the fingerboard. I did use fingerboard oil, but that is it.

LP -Thanks for the compliment, there is no shortage of nice instruments on here...! I enjoy seeing what everyone else is building & figured I'd share mine as well..

Thanks,
Trev
