Hello sir
im going to ask a silly question
for doming a classical guitar top why we should dome the solera?
cant we radius the fan bracing to the desired radius by the radius stick and glue to the top?

also can we radius the back strip to the desired radius ??
hope u guys will not laugh

It has it's advantages depending on your methods. If you use a go bar deck then the domed solera is necessary when gluing the arched cross brace. No one actually arches their fan braces just the lower cross strut. But yes this can easily be done by planing the arch in the brace and gluing it up with regular clams and a flexible caul on the top side. I've done it this way for almost 20 years now.
