I don't really want to buy plans or the Stew Mac/LMI templates. I think get the basic concept.
1 clamp system for holding the neck
1 clamp system for holding the body
templates that fit together after routing with the dovetail bit. So the jig for the body needs to account for the amount of wood removed by the dovetail bit? Anyone know what that distance is for the freud dovetail bit by chance? I'm trying to get a plan drawn up before getting home this weekend to work and I don't have the bit with me.

Uh .. which one ?? .... they only make about 20 ... 1/4 shank or 1/2 ??? What angle ??? Most of the 1/4 shank ones I have seen only have a 1/2 inch cutting length .. to get more, you need to go to the 1/2 inch shank ones.

I'm thinking the 1/2" I believe. I don't need to cut any deeper than that. I've only ever seen one at my Home Depot- they suck!
