Myrtle, she's a beauty! [:Y:] [:Y:] The elevated FB looks very nicely done. Myrtle sure can be pretty. How do you like the Yellow Cedar combo tone?

Cheers,
Danny

Very interesting guitar in many respects. I have to admit, I did a double take when I first saw the back.

I had a female client that was a little fussy about the grain pattern in back woods and how they looked joined up along the center seam. Apparently some of them looked too much like "female anatomy" to her. I wonder how she'd feel about this guitar!

Thanks Danny, This guitar is a prototype and the choice of wood was to try some flavors that I hadn't yet. In the end the guitar has remarkable clarity and warmth. It can get overwhelmed with heavy strumming but I was surprised with its performance with fingerstyle. The Alaskan Yellow Cedar was a dream to work with. Carved like a dream and finished really smooth. Very tight and even grain. I'll use it again on another guitar. I liked the Myrtle because it had the flame look of maple with the variety of color like Koa (not as dark though).
