A while book on a previous thread I asked about koa wood suppliers ,Someone mentioned anamera ??? listing on e- bay I contacted him, he only sells resawn sets on e- bay .Was looking for a supplier who sold in board form. Prices at the local hdwd store are 40$ per BF for 1 in stock and 62$ for 2in .Anyone know of a reasonably priced supplier ????

There is no 'reasonably' priced Koa, it's all expensive, but there are some advertisers right here than sell at a fair price and I've been pretty happy with my eBay purchases.

If you want to buy good grade curly koa, I am afraid expensive resawn luthier set is all you're going to find. Those wood is so expensive.

$40 per board foot isn't such a bad price for plain koa, if you're going to resaw it yourself since even plain Koa guitar sets sells for about 100 dollars at LMI

A Guitar back/side generally takes up one board foot...

For very good Koa, go to Bruce Creps at Notable Woods, Lopez Island, WA. He's one of the best suppliers around for Koa.
