The night before the Convention begins, we're hosting a party at the Running Dog/Sound Guitar workshop in Seattle. At this time, we know that a glorious contingent of luthiers will be here -- Evan Gluck, Al Carruth, Mike Doolin, Brent McElroy, et al. -- as well as area hobbyists and pros. Starts at 7 on Tuesday July 19.

Let us know if you can be here! Hope to meet lots of OLF'ers!

cheers,
Rick Davis

I am so envious of you guys that will be there. For those that never met Evan you are in for a treat . I am proud to call him a friend even if he is twisted and has a deep dark sense of humor. Gee I said too much. He is one heck of a repair guy.

Rick,
I'm exceptionally busy with work right now but will make every effort to attend. If all goes well you'll have at least one hobbiest OLF member hanging around. Thanks for welcoming the non-pros and for hosting the event.

My pal Bill (a beginning luthier) and I will probably attend. We are driving up for the GAL convention from Sunnyvale, CA.....it's a long trip (we take turns driving). It'll be great to see y'all.

Cheers,
Dave F.

With Cat and Evan and the repair guys from Stew-Mac around, the builders better have their acts together or they're going to feel the wrath! It looks like Danny O'Keefe, the writer of "Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues" and a bunch of other great songs will be there, too. He's a friend and, I'm proud to say, a customer of mine. So there'll be some good music to help along the good times. See ya there!
