My initial impression was Cherry, too. Too red, not pink enough for Bubinga. (I just built a Cherry entertainment center last year and the top looks exactly like the picture.)

Bubinga varies from brown, to pink, to purple.
I haven't seen much Cherry with stripes like that, unless you mean Braizilian Cherry.

If your goal is to use a wood that looks like that, find a wood that looks like it. If your goal is to use the same species, you'll have to get a piece and key it out (or ask the maker). But then you may end up with a piece of the same species that looks quite different. ID'ing wood is much more complex than looking at it.

(That said, I've never seen a piece of American cherry, Prunus spp,, with that coloration.)
