I have been looking around the net for a supplier of micro mesh that will sell individual grits. All I can find are kits with numerous grits that I have no use for. Is there a source?

You can order direct from Micro-Surface Finishing Products, Inc.

Individual sheets:

Manufacturer's website:

Another supplier is The Compleat Sculptor:

Lee Valley carries individual grits of 8x11 sheets.http://www.leevalley.com/US/wood/page.a ... at=1,43072
I thought they also used to have them at our (used to be) local Woodcraft store too. ??
Also I think these are common for automobile painting/finishing; ya might try auto parts stores or paint companies that specialize in auto paints.

Those are 3M micro-abrasive sheets, Philip, not Micro-Mesh, which are a cushioned abrasive and quite different.

Not saying what's what, but MicroMesh is also available in sheets, without backing. Two separate kits. Small sheets that come with a sponge and larger sheets similarly.

I can't wait to try that stuff out someday. Seems like it would give excellent results.

Not sure if these are Micro-Mesh but I use them and like them very much.
