I'm making the OLF OM and have braced the top as from the plan, but although I realise they are oversized as drawn, how much should be taken off to get near where they should finish? The top is sitka.
I ask because I'm using the Mayes DVD's as my main guide, and although John uses a different bracing pattern, his braces seem a lot lighter than on the plan, particularly the finger braces.
Any thoughts would be helpful.
P.S Thanks to all who offered help with my last post on flattening the rim near the fingerboard area, particularly Hesh for the link to the tutorial.
Charles.
