Ever since someone posted a link to the guy that built his own band saw out of wood, I've gone back to the site once a week or so to see what he's doing next. He's a pretty innovative guy. This week he's put up a neat program that allows you to make big prints of plans by tiling together regular size paper. But the really cool thing is that you can make the print outs by starting with a picture or drawing off, say, the web, and only one dimension. The program will provide all the other dimensions for you. At this time, he is offering a trial version of the program for evaluation for free. Apparently it does everything the final version will do except that it prints "evaluation" all over everything. Really worth checking out. I can see it being very useful for sharing plans. Pat - thanks for posting this. I can see how BigPrint could be pretty useful in several ways!

Could be very cool - what I do now is print something as big as I can on 8 1/2" x 11", measure some critical distance (bridge to 12th fret, for example), calculate how big I need to blow it up and take it to Staples.

I just do it in Photoshop.

An even better way to do this is to take the file and send it to Kinko's to be printed up. Costs a couple of bucks. Make sure you check the scale before you pay for it though just in case.
