Hi guys. I'm working on my second scratch build. I'm using maple for the fretboard. I build from reclaimed or free wood, and the maple was free. I cut it to size and thicknessed it for a fretboard. This is also the first time I've cut my own fret slots. I used a coping saw that I hammered the kerf of the blade down on until it was at the required .023 width, and used a straight edge clamped to the board to guide the saw. Turned out pretty good, except for one fret. On the third fret the blade traveled a little. I hadn't sawed slot to final depth, so I readjusted and continued to saw that slot. I'm hoping that, since this was close to the edge of the board, that radiusing the board will correct this by removing the shallow part and leaving the correct slot intact. If it doesn't what i would normally do is hit the end of the fret with a little CA, clamp it until it cured, and then carry on. But since this is maple, i'm worried about the CA staining it. Is this a valid concern, and if so, are there any other fixes you might think of?
I know most will probably say just get another board, but my budget is limited, and I really want to use this board. If I have to, i'll buck up and buy a fretboard, but I'd rather use this one if I can.

Glue that fret in with titebond or hhg.

Thanks for the response, Rod. I plan to run some titebond in all the slots, if for no other reason than to lube them a bit. But about 15 minutes after I posted this I realized what course of action i'll take. Just haven't had time to post it.
I'm going to patch it. I just need a tiny little sliver of maple to do that, and the fret will completely cover the patch, so no one will see it. I'll then re cut that one slot, and carry on.
