Well, I just sanded 2 gits to spray coat # whatever,
and my gun starts to pulsate the spray.
Every second or so it sprays on then off.
I had this prob years ago, cleaned the gun well, and it has been working fine since.
It's an old Binks 115 siphon feed.
I took it completely apart, 5 times, and made sure the holes were clean, and the packing is good at the needle.
Any spray gun experts out there?
Thank you.

Never mind.
It is the packing at the needle.

maybe..maybe not...

I base the above statement on a similar situation I had a couple of years ago...replaced all of the parts that typically wear/dry out over a period of non-use and it worked well..for a short time...

what I found was that the culprit was that plastic tube that allows you to spray upside down for a while was clogged at end where it attaches to the cross piece of the cup attacher...took the tube off and reamed out the hole in the cross bar and it worked flawlessly afterwords...

The problem us usually from a blocked breather. The one that is on the top of the pot. It can also be from air leakage from gaskets around needle valves. The old leather ones dry out if they haven't been lubricated and used regularly.
