Does anyone have any idea who makes these tuners for Taylor. These are on my GC7 and I think they look awesome! I sure would like to source these if anyone has an idea.

They look just like the Larrivee open back bronze engraved tuners they used to sell at their parts site. I should have bought a bunch back then...no longer available.

I did some searching for those tuners a while back.

I think the tuners are made by Ping who I guess also makes Grover. According to other people on the web, Taylor has them made specifically for them.

I still don't have definite info on them. In an interview with Bob Taylor, he said they had them made to their own specs after switching from Grovers.

Keep in mind this is what I read on the internet and there was a lot of speculation in the stuff I was reading. I can’t vouch for how reliable the info is. And of course I’m just adding to the speculation here. One common theme was if they are made in the same factory as the Grover’s, what is the difference? Good luck and keep us posted if you find any info.

John
