I have a bunch of killer snakewood bindings I got from the Zootman years ago and have been waiting for some inspiration to use them. Please show me some of your best wood combinations incorporating snakewood. Cheers!

Here's guitar #2 built for a friend. Being a heavy metal fanatic, he was thrilled to discover there are woods with the words "blood" and "snake" in them and just had to have them on his guitar guitar.

Bloodwood back and sides
Snakewood binding, backstrip and bridge
Hog neck

I love the examples shown so far and have also learned a lot as to what works. I have favored plain and lighter colored woods such as Mahogany where it seems to contrast nicely in a non-competitive way. This is an early Cuban Mahogany guitar from 2004 which was French Polished shellac.

I've got a chunk of SW to cut up for bindings someday.
Do most of you make them quarter sawn, or does it matter?
